9:00 pm - The Way He Looks (Hoje eu quero voltar sozinho

A delightful tale about teenage love and friendship. Leo, blind but craving independence, just wants a date with the recently arrived Gabriel, with his good taste in music and aloof charm. In this feature set in sunny São Paulo, Brazil, director Daniel Ribeiro expertly portrays the ebb and flow of youthful relationships. The Way He Looks is warm, funny, and remarkably well acted—one of the best films about boys in love since Beautiful Thing (OUTrageous 1997).

Director: Daniel Ribeiro / 2014, Brazil, 95 min.
